The Happy Hobo & the Return of the Freaks
Jim Avignon schleppt sich von Ausstellung zu Ausstellung und kommt vor lauter Malen nicht mehr zum Musikmachen. Ein Jahr lang hat er schon keinen neuen Song mehr geschrieben und man muss schon befürchten, daß er vergessen hat, wie es geht.
Als er sich dann aber zur Zerstreuung eine Ukulele kauft, geht es Schlag auf Schlag. Morgens fährt er ans Meer nach Far Rockaway, mittags wird aufgenommen, Innerhalb weniger Wochen entstehen 40 neue songs, 17 davon landen auf dem neuen Album, immerhin einer davon nun auch mit Ukulelebegleitung.
